Alice is a lecturer in Development Studies at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences in Strathmore University, Kenya.
She is also an AfOx Trade Fellow and researching within the UKRI GCRF Trade, Environment and Development Hub, on sustainability in the coffee sector in Kenya.
Alice has a PhD in Development Studies from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) – Kenya, MA in International Affairs with a concentration in Development from George Washington University – USA and a BA in Economics with a minor in Political Science from Morgan State University – USA.
Her research focus is on farmer empowerment and sustainability within agricultural commodity chains, particularly in Africa.
For the HESTIA Farm Sustainability Toolkit Project, Alice is working as a consultant on the feasibility of the Farm Sustainability Toolkit in the maize sector in Kenya.
